Engineering

• PermitCity’s Engineering module provides complete project management for engineering operations, including permit issuance, plan review and inspection monitoring and tracking and finalizing encroachment, transportation, parking and block party permits.
  
• Manage subdivision projects from initial submittal to final map recordation.
• Projects can be assigned target dates and reviewers can be notified when the project deadline approaches or has passed. For example, when one reviewer issues comments or approves the project, the manager or other designated user will be notified.
  
• Schedule engineering inspection, perform field inspection and update result from the field with simple interfaces.
  
• In few simple steps the administrator can add and modify permit forms and the application screen to print and collect information as needed for a specific permit type.
  
• PermitCity is web-based software designed to provide access to the public as desired by the particular operation such as viewing project status.
  
• PermitCity can accept applications, issue permits and process inspection requests on-line if and when the Engineering Division wishes to do so.
  
• PermitCity automatically establishes fees based on the approved fee schedule and fees can be adjusted using an ad-hoc feature. Add, modify and revise fee easily.
  
• PermitCity provides for data access by various types of reference information such as property owner, contractor, type of permit, date of issuance, or any other data stored in the database as requested by the customer. Further, data management can be refined by adding a second or third search criteria for finding records in addresses with a large number of projects. Reports of all sorts are available.
  
• PermitCity allows authorized staff to add new property addresses.
  
• PermitCity provides a seamless interface with GIS. Property information from GIS can be accessed from Permit City as well as independently.
  
• Attach any electronic file such as scanned documents, word-processing file, spreadsheet, CAD files, and digital pictures to the project file in PermitCity. Then access the file from anywhere from PermitCity interface.
  
• Seamless integration with the finance software.
  
• Reports can be developed based on the type of work permitted even when the work was part of a combination of activities. This flexibility in reporting provides the unique ability to obtain meaningful information about activity levels by type in your organization.
  
• The fee module of PermitCity allows for partial fee collection on each fee item and tracks the balance accurately. Also, the ad hoc fee addition feature enables the addition of fee items previously not anticipated or specific fee items or additional fees for an expanded scope of work.
